Osmosis

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Nikki who loved to play in the garden. She had a small plant that she had grown from a seed. One day, Nikki noticed that the soil around her plant was dry and the leaves were wilting. She knew that plants need water to grow, but how could she get the water to the roots of the plant? She asked her father, ” Papa…how do plants get water to their roots?”

Nikki’s father told her about a magical process called “osmosis”. He explained that osmosis is like a straw that helps the plant get water from the soil. The straw is so small that we can’t see it, but it’s there. When Nikki waters her plant, the water goes into the soil. The straw, or osmosis, helps the water move from the soil to the roots of the plant. This is how the plant gets the water it needs to grow big and strong.

Nikki was amazed by this magical process. She watered her plant every day and watched as it grew taller and taller. She knew that osmosis was helping her plant get the water it needed to grow.

From that day on, Nikki made sure to water her plant every day and take good care of it. She knew that osmosis was always there to help her plant grow big and strong.
