Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Nikki. Nikki loved to play with her toys and dolls all day long. One day, Nikki’s favorite toy car stopped moving. She tried pushing it, but it wouldn’t budge. She was very sad because she loved playing with that car. Her father saw her sad face and asked her what was wrong. Nikki told him that her car had stopped working. Her father smiled and said, “Don’t worry, Nikki. I know what’s wrong with your car. It needs a battery.”
Nikki had never heard of a battery before. Her father explained that a battery is like a little box of energy that can make things work. He showed Nikki a small battery and told her that it was like a tiny power plant from where the energy is released. Nikki was amazed. She had never seen anything like it before.
Her father then showed her how to put the battery in the car. Nikki watched as her father opened the car’s hood and put the battery inside. She then closed the hood and turned on the car. The car started moving again! Nikki was so happy. She hugged her father and thanked him for fixing her car.
From that day on, Nikki knew what a battery was and how it worked. She even started collecting batteries from all her toys and putting them in a special box. Whenever one of her toys stopped working, she would replace the battery and make it work again. Nikki was very proud of herself for learning something new.
